I have used Eurail in the past and they require I use a pass. Does ItaliaPass have the same thing? If so, how to I get my pass?

Termini Station
Hello We are taking the train from Termini Station to Civitavecchia. We are going on a Cruise. Is there a spot at the station to print luggage tags?
Hi Trish, welcome to the ItaliaPass community! No, train stations don't have printing kiosks, so if you want to have printed luggage tags, you'll need to print them in advance. However, for your cruise, when you get to the pier in Civitavecchia, if you tell the porters your cabin number they'll have plenty of tags on the spot and can handle it for you without you having to print the tags in advance. Just make sure you have your cabin number written down or bring a screenshot of your boarding pass ready on your phone so you don't have to try to access it online if you don't have wi-fi at the port.
Hope this helps! Have a wonderful trip and let us know if there's anything else we can help answer for you.
Clarification on Activate my pass
Hello,
I will be traveling to Italy on August 14 2026 and I just bought the ItaliaPass Primo and I received the email to activate it, the question is do I activate it now or in August? Thank you for your time.
Hi Carolyn and welcome to the ItaliaPass community! Go ahead and activate it right away, because you'll want to book tours and activities as soon as you know your dates. Thanks for making ItaliaPass a part of your Italy trip!
First trip to Italy - May second half
Hello
My wife and I have planned a trip to Italy between May 18 and May 29. We arrive in Milan by flight from London on May 18 and depart from Rome to London on May 29. We are from India. We are planning to be in Milan for a couple of days, head to Florence by train on the evening of May 20, spend 4 days in Florence, head to Rome on the evening of May 24 and spend 5 days in Rome. We plan to get around using trains and other public transport. We are not sure if there is a need to hire a car given the good public transport. We are wondering if we should get 2 Italia passes or 1 Italia pass and a Companion pass.
We are really looking forward to the trip to experience this country with amazing history, culture, food and more.
Cheers
Rabin
One benefit of the Italy pass is "Free guided tour of the Colosseum, featuring exclusive access to the Arena floor through the iconic Gladiator’s Gate." Would we need to buy the tickets to the Colosseum separately?
The Italia pass provides "Free access to must-see landmarks like the Pantheon, Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery. " . Do we need to book the date/time of the visit at the time of buying the Italia Pass or do we do that afterwards?
Many thanks in advance for responses.
Hello Rabin and thanks for your question!
If you purchase ItaliaPass Primo, one of the included benefits is the guided tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The tickets are included and you don't have to buy them separately.
As for booking, after you purchase your ItaliaPass you'll receive a welcome email with all the links you need to book your visits. Because many of these tours book quickly, we recommend reserving your tickets as soon as you know your travel dates.
Thanks for being a part of the ItaliaPass community. Buon viaggio!
