Name one thing you always tell people to take with them when they travel to Italy, or the most helpful thing you always bring with you on your Italy trips.

My tip is to bring Ziploc bags. They aren't really a "thing" in Italy (you can get them at Ikea or Tiger, but I've never really seen them anywhere else) and they're super convenient for so many things when you're traveling—wet items, shoes, sorting small things.
