Starting April 1, restrictions on train travel are changing as follows:
- No green pass required for travel on trains within the same region
- Basic green pass (negative Covid test within past 48 hours for rapid antigen/lateral flow test or 72 hours for PCR test; or valid vaccination or recovery certificate) for inter-regional trains as well as Intercity, Intercity Night and high-speed trains
Starting May 1, no green pass will be required for train travel.
This information is spelled out in the Italian government's March 24 decree, Article 6, number 5c.
A basic green pass will also be required through April 30 on domestic flights and interregional travel by ship or ferry.
