Hi! I’ve planned a trip to Italy in March with my 2 teen girls who have both received 2 vaccine doses - but now I’m realizing that their 9 month post-vaccine date will arrive in the middle of our trip! They can’t currently get boosted because they are under 16, so does this mean they will be considered unvaccinated? Thanks!
Auba Capo Rodriguez All true. Italy is being stricter than many other EU countries.
That means technically speaking anyone who completed their vaccination cycle on July 31, 2021, or before that will need a booster to keep their vaccination certificate current in Italy as of February.
It's an open-ended question right now for minors ages 12-15 in Italy as well, because the government hasn't yet given the go-ahead for third doses for that age range (except for those with health vulnerabilities). At the same time, the super green pass and green pass restrictions are in place for everyone age 12 and up. So to be honest I'm not sure where that leaves this age range at the moment. I think more information will come out soon, as the government agency AIFA is supposed to decide on this in January. I'll be sure to post here in the community as soon as I learn any additional information on this.
