My family are planning to go to Italy in December for 2 weeks, 3 adults and 3 older kids. We will be visiting Rome, Florence and Venice via eurorail. We will also need to travel within cities to the sites. My question is, should we buy passes in advance or while in Italy, also not sure which way is cost effective. Your advice is appreciated.
