Anyone have any recommendations for hotels to stay in Rome? Planning to go there in August for a few days. This will be a honeymoon, so looking for something nice, centrally located, doesn't have to be too fancy or too expensive - I would say a medium rated hotel that's still nice.

We recommend the Hotel Varese, near Roma Termini. Quiet hotel moderately priced, has air conditioning in rooms, fully staffed front desk, and breakfast is included.

Hello Elizabeth and welcome to our community! When I used to work near the Pantheon, when we had visitors and guests we would often use the Albergo del Sole234 nearby to host them. That's a four-star hotel, however, so it might be a bit too high range, depending on your budget. Another one we used to use, which is a three-star, is Hotel Smeraldo80.

We traveled throughout Italy 3 yrs ago and stayed in VRBO's, each one was excellent.           We paid a little then a Hotel, but what you get in return is worth it.....
