Covid tests
Asked a question last year

Do Italy's pharmcies supply home lateral flow tests for self use? Like we get for free in the UK. Thanks!

Yes, you can buy home kits in the pharmacies. Ask for a "tampone rapido fai da te." However, be advised that the kits are becoming increasingly hard to find due to the spike in Omicron cases and heading into the holidays when people want to test increasingly on their own prior to gathering in private homes. If you have the means to bring some along with you from the UK, that would be the easiest way.

The cost for the DIY kits is similar to the cost of tests administered in pharmacies. The home kits cost about 10 euros on average in the pharmacies, while the tests valid for the green pass cost 15 euros for adults and 8 euros for children.
