Super Green Pass
Asked a question 9 months ago

Hi! Can someone help clarify the entry requirements regarding the green pass, covid vaccines, and covid tests? I will be traveling to Italy May 31 with my partner. I have only received the two doses of the Phizer vaccine and my partner received her booster in November. Are either of our vaccinations valid to get a green pass for the end of May, and what are the requirements on Covid tests to enter and then move around Italy as well? Do I need to get the booster in order to be able to enter, or is Covid test before entering sufficient to acquire the green pass? Thanks for your help!

Hola con pfhizer están bien mínimo 2 dosis. No hay problema alguno con un certificado que demuestre esas vacunas para moverse absolutamente libre por todo Italia.

Ciao Keith and welcome to our community! Here are the entry requirements for Italy2:

  • the Passenger Locator Form9, to be filled in before departure and updated with the seat number once checked in with the carrier; this form can be shown digitally or in paper format;
  • the COVID-19 Green Certificate13 or other equivalent certificate6 which must state one of the following conditions:
    • completion of the primary vaccination series or booster dose according to the vaccination plans of the countries of release with vaccines authorized by the European Medical Agency (primary series validity 9 months and booster dose without predefined limit)
    • recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection (valid for 180 days from positive swab test)
    • recovery after the administration of the first dose of vaccine or at the end of the primary vaccination series or following the administration of the relevant booster dose
    • rapid antigen or molecular swab test, respectively within 48 or 72 hours before entry into Italy.

As of May 1, there will no longer be any domestic green pass/testing requirements to access venues throughout the country. More on that here25.

Hope this helps! Have a wonderful time in Italy!
