Honestly, you will be spending most of your time travelling. There are so many places to see in and near Rome, you cannot get bored. The Amalfi coast deserves at least 5 days dedicated to exploring and you will only scratch the surface. Pompeii deserves 2 days. And you deserve to enjoy yourself!
Question/Post
Train Travel Hi, I'm travelling in March next year for 10 days. I am staying in Rome for the entire time, but I would like to get to the Amalfi coast and Pompeii for the day - whether it is one day each area or both in one day. How much time to spend in each area? Also should I get the train rail pass or just buy the tickets online? First time in Rome for me. Thank you :)
