I wish I would have done a carry on and backpack only. Also pick 3 colors for your wardrobe and mix and match. Take cold water wash product for clothes to do quick sink wash if needed so you can rewear. Way too much luggage on the first trip. Global Entry saves so much time and hassle. We heard one day in Venice was plenty....not true but we are water people. We could have stayed a week. PS, no heals, go for comfort with wedge heals for fancy dinners and tennis shoes for tours. Don't forget a hat and waist style purse for safety.
