Luggage limits

Hi

Four of us are travelling from Rome to Ostuni on the 3rd of July (the direct one that leaves about 8AM). We are in 2nd class. Each of us will have an airline size-approved carry on as well as a couple larger bags (1 bag per couple)that were checked on the plane. Where do we store this baggage?

Hello and welcome to the ItaliaPass community! For transporting luggage on the train, there are usually racks at the ends of each car where you can store large luggage. For smaller bags there is an open rack over the seats; these often also accommodate small carry-on suitcases. There aren't any particular limits for luggage and it doesn't get checked in or handled by train personnel, you manage your bags yourself.

Rail Pass versus Individual Tickets

Hello!

My husband and I are planning a trip to Italy (our first time) at the end of October and beginning of November. We will be traveling from Basel, Switzerland to Centraldo, spending 4 days in Tuscany, then heading to Rome for another 4 days. During that time, we will be using the train system with excursions to Florence and a tour of Tuscany. Do you recommend purchasing a rail pass or individual tickets ? Is it necessary to purchase additional tickets if purchasing a rail pass?

Need to change Seat on ticket

I need to change a seat selection on one of my tickets, I didn’t realize the two I bought are facing away from each other so I need to move the one in 10A to 8A. How do I do this?

Companion Pass Issues

I wanted to check on the companion pass. I purchased the companion pass through the ItaliaPass website. I reached out to the support specialist to see if it was linked and what the process was for getting it activated. The support specialist said that they do not sell or have companion passes through ItaliaPass. Can I get some clarification on this? I will buy a full membership if need be, but I thought I could get a companion pass and link it to my membership ID. I can do a refund on the companion pass if that is necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I am trying to activate my ItaliaFare- PRIMO

When i click the link to activate my pass perks it sends me to the pass primo site with information which when i click on the link for the pass i want it askes me to buy a pass ??

Thanks, booked the night train out of Rome bound for Palermo. I took up the option to buy the Primo Membership back in March. We are not traveling till September but I am starting to put together our itinerary.
