I am by no means a Florence food expert, but I will say that one of the things I love whenever I go to Tuscany is that they do something after the meal that we don't really have here in Rome. One of the dessert choices you'll usually find on the menu is cantucci e vin santo. Cantucci are basically what you probably think of when people say "biscotti" in English - they're those crunchy sliced cookies with almonds that you can dip in coffee. Here, they use them to dip in sweet dessert wine. My favorite!
