Arriving at Malpensa Airport on May 24th. Need to book train from there to Genoa. Will be using trains as main transportation around Italy. From Genoa to Cinque Terre, Pisa, Rome, Florence and then Venice. Thinking that a train pass is the way to go. Would like advice. If I buy a months pass that I will only use for 8-9 days will it include the fast trains and the intercity ones as well?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out on Italiapass! We're sorry we couldn't answer your question in time for your departure date. Here are some important things to consider about your travel plans. If you would like to purchase a rail pass, you can use it to travel on regional trains, intercity trains, and high speed Freccia trains. Keep in mind that seat reservations are required for intercity and Freccia trains even if you have a railpass. These seat reservations must be booked in advance of the departure time, and can cost up to 20 euros per passenger. For regional trains, no seat reservations are required.

At the moment, italiarail.com13 is not offering railpass services. I would recommend looking at eurail.com16 if you're interested in purchasing a railpass. For point-to-point trips, you can book on italiarail.com13.
