Asked a question 7 months ago

Hello I am planning on going to Italy in July from Ireland. I got my two vaccines in August (past 9 months) so I can get a booster before July to renew my eu covid cert? Will that be enough to allow me to travel to Italy? Or does the booster not count? Thank you!

Hello Sarah and welcome to our community! You'll need a booster dose before coming to Italy if you want to use your vaccination certificate to enter the country. Once you have the booster dose, according to current regulations your vaccination certificate has no expiration date in Italy.

If you don't get the booster dose before you travel to Italy, you can still enter the country with a negative Covid test result in the past 48 hours for a lateral flow test or past 72 hours for a PCR test.
