Wine windows:
Babae Firenze (Via Santo Spirito, 21R): Often credited with being one of the first to revive the tradition in recent years (before the pandemic surge). Located in the charming Oltrarno district, it's very popular and serves wine and aperitifs through its mustard-yellow window. Expect a queue, especially during aperitivo hour.
Osteria Belle Donne (Via delle Belle Donne, 16R): Very centrally located, near Santa Maria Novella. This one is quite striking with its decorative facade and often has lively staff. They serve wine and cocktails, and are known for being open year-round.
Il Latini (Via dei Palchetti, 6R): A famous traditional Florentine restaurant known for its hearty Tuscan fare (including Bistecca alla Fiorentina). They have an active wine window right by the entrance, which is often used by diners waiting for a table.
Cantina de' Pucci (Via de' Pucci, 4): Conveniently located near the Duomo, this wine window offers a chance to sip wine with an iconic backdrop. It's set within the historic Palazzo Pucci.
Giunti Odeon Library and Cinema (Piazza degli Strozzi, 3-5-7): One of the newer operational wine windows, reactivated in November 2023. It's located in Piazza degli Strozzi, in front of the Odeon Bistro, offering wine and Aperol Spritz.
